Christopher Eccleston is Fantastic!

There are now three days to go until Sunday. This year marks a very special event as it will Christopher Eccleston's first signing at a conventional event in the world. It is very exciting that Christopher Eccleston is actually going to attending a convention. I never thought it would happen. Hope you've got your £95.

Eccleston's Doctor brought many fans like myself into the worlds of Doctor Who and made me aware of the programme's existence, since then my interest in the show has grown and grown and now I'm an avid fan and will continue to be as Doctor Who has become like a friend to me, and I think if it wasn't for someone as good as Eccleston to portray Russell T Davies's work, we wouldn't have the Doctor Who we have now with Jodie Whitaker and Chris Chibnall.

I thought I'd show the clip of when Eccleston regenerates into David Tennant.

Peter Capaldi is Amazing!

There are four days to go until I go to Comic-Con in London this year, that means four days until I meet the acquaintance of this wonderful man. Peter Capaldi.

Capaldi is my personal favourite of the new series doctors so far. I haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet and unfortunately, I didn't get to meet him whilst he was the Doctor on TV, something I had wanted to do. I am pleased though that the opportunity has presented itself to me to meet him and get a photo with him.

Capaldi's doctor was marvelous, and he had so many great memories, he brought a new side of personality and character to the doctor that none of the others doctors had done before him, he's not just a great doctor, but an amazing actor.

This for me is one of his finest Doctor Who moments from Series 10 Episode 12 "The Doctor Falls".

AQUAMAN - The Movie COMING SOON to UK Cinemas 14th December!

After a bit of a wait, the trailer for the stand alone Aquaman movie was released today starring Jason Mamoa.

The trailer itself looks fantastic, it really hypes up the suspense and captivated the drama and adventure of what the film is going to be about. It's set to be released in December, and as a big Aquaman fan I can't wait to see it.

As a lover of the ocean and top of the class swimmer in my class, I kind of wish I was Aquaman so my interest in this film has gone up massively having watched this trailer.

I think Mamoa looks fantastic as Aquaman and the opposing threat and danger that Aquaman will face in this film is everything that I hoped it would be, which is fantastic.

Like Wonder Woman, I suspect we will get a backstory behind how Arthur Curry becomes Aquaman in order to help us invest in the character, and the enemies and villains will help do that as well, give our hero a good menace to fight against. Orm, Ocean Master played by Patrick Wilson, plays Aquaman's half-brother, and Yahya Adbul Mateen II plays Black Manta, Aquaman's nemesis.

Patrick Wilson as Orm, Ocean Master

Orm, Ocean Master plans to rage a war on the surface world, and the only way to stop him is if Aquaman beats him in a contest for the throne and becomes King of Atlantis. Atlantis of course being, the under sea kingdom where all marine life lives, not just fish but mermaids and mermen as well.

As well as that we got Black Manta who I am so excited and happy that he is in the movie, there isn't really any other defining villain for Aquaman that I can think of as good as Black Manta, just like Ares is the definitive enemy of Wonder Woman. You had to have him in it, not sure what he's going to do, or how much he's going to be in the film, but I was so excited to see him in the trailer.

A lot of people were moaning about the CGI not being up to spec, well, it is a trailer. A trailer's job is meant to give off a teaser to draw people into coming to see the film, trailer's give you a teaser of what to expect and make you want to come and see the finished film.

I think the CGI effects looked all right, I loved the cinematic scope of Atlantis, what we saw of it, and the film's not out until December. The post-production crew have a fair bit of time still to polish up the effects and edit the movie so that when it gets released it will be the best it possibly can be.

The Black Manta costume looks glorious.  Having played Injustice 2, I sincerely hope that we get new Aquaman gear and new Black Manta gear so that when this film comes out, we can play Aquaman and Black Manta in their variations from the film. They did it for Wonder Woman and Justice League so I don't see why they shouldn't do it for this film.

The trailer is available to watch now, it says December 21st, but the film will be out in UK cinemas from the 14th December.

I'm meeting Jason Mamoa next Sunday, and I can't wait to meet him and get a photo with him and express my interest in wanting to see this film.

DOCTOR WHO: Series 11 Trailer 2018 - Jodie Whittaker and my thoughts

Hey everyone.

So this week, we have received something very special, a brand new trailer for Doctor Who series 11 which is happening at San Diego Comic Con which is happening right now. There has been a Doctor Who panel with Jodie Whitaker, Chris Chibnall, and other cast member attending.

There was another teaser trailer that we got during half time of the world cup final which was fine, but I wanted more than fine, considering it was during the world cup and at a time when mainstream eyes would be on the show, this new trailer is for more dedicated fans. In this new trailer there is actual footage, there is something substantially different, and it's cool. It's good to see footage, we get a first look insight with the new team, although the only character talking in the trailer is the Doctor, (Jodie Whitaker), there are a lot of shots of the companions, there are a lot of shots showing the locations, establishing shots, I like the motel and the classic quarry, I'm hoping that the green sky in the trailer is actually green and not green screen that's yet to be faded out.

The desert landscape looks really cool, I really like the cinematography, the directors have clearly shown up to play and its clean cut and edited well to keep viewers entertained and wanting more.

It makes me look forward to the new series, I sincerely hope that everything goes well.

Rumour has it that the Daleks will not be appearing in Series 11, but I'll do a separate post on that later.

Not keen on the new sonic screwdriver design, but it may grow on me.

I think right now, what we have is good, and much better than the teaser trailer.

Matt Smith is going to be at London Film and Comic Con 2018!

So, last night I got a massive surprise when I came to check the LFCC forum for any updated information on the event, now imagine my surprise and my delight when I find out that both Tom Baker and Matt Smith would be attending London Film & Comic Con 2018.

Matt Smith is a name on the top of my list of people to meet, so you can probably understand from my excitment alone that I wanted to try to book a photo with him. And I did. I managed to get a ticket last night and I feel very appricative and glad to be one of the people who will be meeting him and getting a photo with him on the day.

Given it's not that long since Matt Smith hanged up his travelling shoes and handed in his TARDIS key, I was expecting him to be a very popular guest. Not just with Doctor Who fans but with convention goers alike. Doctor Who is certianly something which has helped Smith in his career and allowed him to progress futher as an actor. He is probably my favourite new series doctor, after Peter Capaldi of course.

It was also good to know that Smith will be there on the same day that I will, which is the 29th July, that's the Sunday. He'll be joining Christopher Eccelston and Peter Capaldi as part of the line up on that day. I consider myself to be very lucky to be a Doctor Who fan at the moment. This is incredible, that we now have three new series doctors attending the convention this year, along with lots of other movie and televison stars from other things non who related. I would have to say this year's line up of guests has to be LFCC's best yet! This makes me even more excited.

I was also aware that Smith wasn't going to cheap.

If you want to get an autograph with Matt Smith at London Film Comic Con it will cost you £85, a photo with Smith will cost you £75, a bit cheaper than Eccelston but still, the more popular the guest is, the higher the price is likly to be. That's the way of things. All of my guests I'm meeting this year are all well established and in the public eye at the moment, so my costs were high but will prove to be worth it once I accomplish my task and meet the stars I've always wanted to meet that I either never got a chance to meet until now or missed out on the oppertunities.

I'm looking forward to asking Matt what does he think of his action figure.

This is looking to be a jam packed day, I just hope the ques won't be too long, and that I'll be able to get there, and my photos with guests don't clash with eachother, and I'll be able to do everything I want to do at the convention whilst I'm there, but right now I'm very happy and excited!

INJUSTICE 2: Legendary Gear! I've made a list!

Hi everyone

Welcome to another quick Injustice 2 post, this is just a quick update to inform you all that I have been working hard all week, trying my best to tick off all challenges to participate in Legendary multiverses in Injustice 2. I'm doing well so far. I'm concentrating on Doctor Fate at the moment, but I am swiftly moving to and from other characters as well, trying to get requirements ticked off for Raiden, Starfire, Scarecrow, amongst many others, and to make sure I get my priorities right, I've decided to make a list of five characters to focus on, just get through them one at a time and once I've finished with them, I'll move on to the next five. I've basically broke it down into batches, explaining it in its simplist terms.

So, BATCH 1 is:

  1. Doctor Fate
  2. Raiden
  3. Starfire
  4. Cyborg
  5. Aquaman

BATCH 2 is:

  1. Bane
  2. Scarecrow
  3. Brainiac
  4. Black Adam
  5. Batman

INJUSTICE 2: LEGENDARY DOCTOR FATE GEAR - SEPTEMBER 2018

DOCTOR FATE LEGENDARY GEAR

Hello All.

I was playing Injustice 2 earlier this evening, to see if I could get some more Aquaman gear, and when I checked the Legendary Multiverse, I noticed that I had quite a lot of the requirements ticked off for Doctor Fate without realising that I had completed them.

The way a legendary multiverse work is there are list of requirements which the player has to complete in order to have a go at the challenges set to play for legendary gear for a said character in the game. Not only does it look cool on the character but it gives them special powers and abilities in the game.

I only have a few requirements left to tick off before I can persist in the challenges for a chance to earn legendary gear for Doctor Fate. Injustice 2 videos are coming to an end for the summer at the end of July, however, during summer break, I will try my best to make sure I have ticked off all the requirements on the list to ensure that when the series comes back in September, I can attempt to take part in the challenges needed to get the legendary gear.

I haven't seen what Doctor Fate's legendary gear looks like or know what it does, how it helps me in the game playing as Doctor Fate, but what I do know is, if the opportunity presents itself to me to get a piece of legendary gear for a character, I'm going to take it. It's actually quite exciting to know that I am close to earning my first piece of legendary gear for a character in Injustice 2.

I have heard that the challenges I shall face are much harder than a normal multiverse event, but all the same, I shall give it a good go.

DOCTOR WHO: Action Figure Adventures - Are they ever coming back?

Hey everyone

Do you remember those Doctor Who action figure adventures I used to do... those were the days weren't they, a fan's joy in making up his own films and playing with his toys. I loved those days, but then the time came where I just stopped doing them. I had plans to carry the project on, but somehow this was a project that just disappeared.

I'm writing a post on this because I've had lots of interesting messages come in from people saying, why don't do you do this story or that story, and I see it as a disservice or unkindness not to answer those questions. I should really do more, but always come up with an excuse not to do it. Which is pretty poor considering I've still got lots of ideas floating around to do stories, particularly with the new doctors, and we've got some new Doctor Who action figure sets coming out this year from B&M.

To answer the queries and the messages coming in, I hope to do more, I haven't written it off completely, and I do have ideas going round for stories to do with various doctors, and some multi doctors stories as well, it's just finding the time in my schedule to fit it all in, because it's a lengthy process of filming and editing, it's time-consuming but rewarding at the same time.

I guess you'll have to keep a look out to see what I'm likely to do in the foreseeable future.

London Film & Comic Con 2018 and Christopher Eccleston

London Film and Comic Con is fast approaching this year, once again at London Kensington Olympia, a huge number of people, some in costumes, will be going on the last weekend of July to endeavor and have fun at London's biggest comic con event. London Film and Comic Con is most certainly the biggest convention event that you can find in Britain, the biggest convention event is San Diego Comic-Con, which I would love to go to. I've always wanted to go to a San Diego Comic-Con, just to see what the experience is like.

LFCC has been at the Olympia for a considerable amount of years now, since 2015. It's back for this year. From the 27th to 29th July, so Friday to Sunday. There are loads of great things there, from cosplay competitions to stalls selling merchandise, action figures, T-shirts, prints, etc.

One of the main reasons people go to LFCC is to get an autograph from or a photograph with some of their favourite Film and TV stars. This could be anyone from things such as: Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings to name a few.

I'll be going again this year, this will be my fifth LFCC. I've been going to this event for the past five years, I can't believe it's been that many already. Time goes by too fast nowadays. I think I've come to know what to expect from this sort of conventional event.

Having said that each year I've been to LFCC, I've had different experiences. But all the same, it can be hot, it can be very cramped because there are a lot of people there, and expensive, tickets aren't cheap and showmasters can charge a fortune for guest autographs and photos.

But I am excited to be going, I'll be going with a friend who went with me last year, and I can never be too sure what to expect on the day. I imagine there will be certain things which will remain familiar with me, but the actual course of events of what we do will be a mystery to me which I'll find out on the day.

It has been announced, however, that one of the guests going this year is Christopher Eccleston. Who I know as being the Ninth Doctor from Doctor Who. Eccleston is the Doctor who got me into Doctor Who in the first place and an essential part of the reason why I love the show so much, and to me watching him as a nine-year-old boy, I really liked his humour and his wit, and his serious moments as well, he really sold the character of the Doctor to me, which I am forever grateful for. He was amazing!

So leading up to Eccleston's first ever convention appearance, which surprised me and excited me when I heard it was announced that he was going to be there this year because he's been vocal that he doesn't like getting asked and offered a decent amount of money to sit and sign autographs and do the whole convention thing. And with this being the first time, maybe the only time he'll ever do it, I guess I must have realised it wasn't going to be cheap.

This is what LFCC released on their website when they announced that Eccleston was going.

£95 for an autograph? £85 for a photo? It's enough to break your bank account or save up all your pocket money for a whole year.

Eccleston will be appearing at LFCC this year on the 29th July, that's the Sunday. And the Sunday only. So if you want to book your tickets to see Eccleston, you will have to book them for the Sunday. Don't go on Friday or Saturday expecting to see Eccleston. He won't be there. Although a lot of people were very happy to hear that Eccleston would be attending a convention and actually acknowledging, Doctor Who on his CV, lots of people took a step back when they saw the prices.

As I said before, £95 for an autograph, £85 for a photo, £95 for a photo with the exterior of the TARDIS, and a diamond pass is £235, that will give you a guaranteed autograph from Christopher Eccleston, a guaranteed standard photo with Eccleston, and an exclusive mug.

From what I've heard from regular convention goers, hearing what people's thoughts and opinions were on this story, the diamond pass does one hundred percent guarantee you a photo with and an autograph from Christopher Eccleston. Even if you do pay that £85 for a photo or £95 for an autograph, it doesn't guarantee you anything really, the queue might be too long, you might not be able to get there, it will all be done on a first come/ first served basis. I am fully aware that even though I have paid £85 for a photo, I might not get one.

Now, the whole pricing for Eccleston has become the dominant and most talked about thing about this year's convention. I'm not at surprised by the prices being what they are, because pricing for a big named guest or with this being Eccleston's first time at a convention, it's not out of ordinary for conventions like this to pass off those sorts of price tags. There are people who have been to conventions and got a photo with Marvel's Stan Lee for £100. But on the other side of it, there's the context of Ecclestion doing so much over the past fourteen years to distance himself from Doctor Who and the BBC and the genre material that is it exploitative to maybe charge that much money for an autograph with everything he's said and done since Doctor Who. It's not up to me, I didn't choose the price, but it may be a key factor as to why people and fans of Doctor Who and regular convention goers are so outraged at this.

So it's service to say that if you don't think it's worth that price then, by all means, don't pay it. It's that simple. I've paid £85 for a photo because I want a photo with Christopher Eccleston as I'm sure thousands of other people will too. This will probably be my only chance to get a photo with him and actually meet him. And I did realise if ever the oppertunity came for me to meet Christopher Eccleston at a convention, it wouldn't be cheap.

But there are going to be other people there, I'm not just meeting Eccleston on the day, I'm meeting Peter Capaldi and Jason Mamoa as well. Who are both going on both days, they're there for the whole weekend.

The whole convention scheme and the pricing at conventions, I think, is very subjective. It's probably down to the organisers of the Comic-Con, and Eccleston's agency who booked him that set these prices and if they want to set these sorts of prices then that's their decision. They're in every right to do what they want. At the end of the day, the convention is a business and it needs to bring in the cash, like any other business to succeed and profit towards their next one. But we'll see what happens. This whole thing might backfire on them and if they ever decide to book Eccleston again they may reconsider and lower the prices a bit.

What I am worried about however is if they don't get many sales in autographs or photos, it could get misconstrued or misinterpreted. Rather than thinking "people were put off by the prices, we should lower them to something the average person can afford", they might think "well, there's clearly not much interest in people wanting to see Christopher Eccleston at a convention. We won't book him again." I'm hoping they won't misread the fandom like that, because I know for a fact there are loads of Doctor Who fans who love Christopher Eccleston and the Ninth Doctor and would love to have a photo with him or his autograph.

I guess it will all come down to how it will be on the day, but I am very excited and very interested to see what is to come.
