MORTAL KOMBAT 11 - Characters I'd like to see.

MORTAL KOMBAT 11 - CHARACTERS I'D LIKE TO SEE

With people posting their predictions as to which characters they'd like to play as in MK 11. I thought I might share some of the characters I would like to see as playable characters in MK 11.

Obviously, we've had the reveal trailer of Kabal and Jade who have both been confirmed as playable characters alongside Scorpion, Sub Zero, Raiden, Baraka, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, and Geras.

But who else will be joining them?

Shoa Khan is a pre-order character, just as Darkseid was for Injustice 2.

This is a list of my top 5 characters I'd like to see in the MK11 roster.

Number 5. Kitana

With her being the badass, dark empress that she is, I'd like to see Kitana come back. She is my favourite female MK character.

Number 4. Sindel

Never got the chance to play her in MKX, and she would be a nice feature. We need more female combatants as the number of male characters does tend to dominate over the number of female characters. Why not even the score?

Number 3. Rain

I would be very excited if Rain was announced, his water features and able to use water bubbles and stuff like that to his advantage is awesome. I didn't know this until now, but apparently, Rain is based off Prince, from the song Purple Rain.

Number 2. Johnny Cage

Yes, he is a annoying, so and so. But, I think I would very disappointed and quite annoyed if he wasn't announced as being in the roster. I think we need Johnny Cage, just as much as we need Raiden, Scorpion and Sub Zero.

Number 1. Sheeva

I think she'd be formidable, and a character I would consider playing often.

But there are many others I'd like to see. Including Nightwolf, Kenshi, Takeda, Jax, Goro, Bo'Rai Cho, Mileena, Kotal Kahn, Ermac, Erron Black, and Fujin.

But we'll just have to see when characters get announced, I hear that seventeen characters have announced on the roster so far, all of which I'm very happy with, but there's still time for more exciting announcements. Anything can happen. So I will have to wait and see.

DOCTOR WHO AUDIO ADVENTURES - SERIES 4. Starting on my channel from April 6th with "The High Tech House of Horrors"

A Beginner's Guide to Doctor Who: Season 19

DOCTOR WHO: SEASON 19

Season 19 of Doctor Who ran between 4th January 1982 and 30th March 1982. It starred Peter Davison as the Fifth DoctorMatthew Waterhouse as AdricSarah Sutton as Nyssa and Janet Fielding as Tegan Jovanka. The season opened with Castrovalva and concluded with Time-Flight. It was released as a Blu-Ray box set in December 2018.

It consisted of seven serials and twenty-six episodes airing on a bi-weekly schedule. Two milestones occurred in Earthshock

Firstly, the Cybermen returned, unannounced, for the first time since Revenge of the Cybermen in 1975 with a completely different design, with David Banks' first appearance as Cyber-Leader, a role he would return to in subsequent stories involving the Cybermen until Silver Nemesis. Secondly, for the first time since The Daleks' Master Plan which had aired in 1965 and 1966, a companion died.

Other milestones included Black Orchid, the first non-science fictional historical serial since 1966's The Highlanders, and the destruction of the Doctor's sonic screwdriver in The Visitation. A cliffhanger ending to the series appeared to have left Tegan stranded at Heathrow Airport with the Doctor abandoning her by mistake.

The Doctor had spent most of the series trying to get Tegan back to Heathrow, which almost became a running theme.
Originally, this series was going to have twenty-eight episodes- two more than normal. However, John Nathan-Turner used two of the allocated episodes for A Girl's Best Friend, the failed pilot to K9 and Company.
With this season, the BBC returned the series to a mid-winter season start, which had last been done for Season 12 and had been the format throughout the Jon Pertwee era.

Mortal Kombat 11: Jade

As April 23rd, the day of Mortal Kombat 11's launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC draws closer, NetherRealm Studios is now progressively becoming less coy about the game's full fighter character roster. And we can now add another familiar face to the list, with classic character Jade confirmed to return.
Jade made her series debut in 1993's Mortal Kombat 2, as a secret character that players could confront by solving a sequence of clues. She was finally added to the playable fighting roster for the first time in 1995's Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and even got a proper bit of backstory, cast as one of the Outworld emperor Shao Kahn's deadly assassins.
Despite being a bit of a fan favourite, Jade was last seen in 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot, so a return for her was well overdue. And as if by popular demand for Mortal Kombat 11, she's back and in a big way, she's a Revenant, which means she was resurrected from the dead to be a servant of the Netherrealm. Regardless of those shifting allegiances, she has her trademark bo staff and razorrangs, and you can see her revitalised move set in the reveal trailer. It looks like eyeball-popping finishers are a theme for Mortal Kombat 11.
I think this relates back to Mortal Kombat X where Kitana has a mournful variation, she had a bo staff and razorrangs, probably due to the fact she was morning for Jade. I just put two and two together with that one as I never realised it up until this point.
I think she looks and fights amazing, she might not be a character I'll use often, but it's still awesome to see more returning characters come back to MK for this new game. We've got Baraka, Skarlet, Kabal, and now Jade, all of which seem like new characters to me as I'm not really that well familiar with MK or it's characters. I only have MKX to go on. So this all new and exciting stuff to me.

Anyway, here's Jade's trailer.

Mortal Kombat 11: Two new characters announced for MK11

Two new characters have been announced to be added to the MK11 roster.

Kabal

During Tuesday's Kombat Kast on YouTube and Twitch, it was revealed that Kabal is one of the latest characters to be added to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. We get to see him in a couple different forms, this time around. The first look that we get to see of him was a couple of photos which show him a little bit more into the future as his skin has been darkened and his hair trimmed, but with a better mask and improved gear keeping him alive. This version of him looks far more superior compared to his versions we only briefly got to see in Mortal Kombat 9.

Speaking of his prior self, there are two different looks to Kabal. One is of him in a gas attack costume and the other shows off the character back when he was a member of the Black Dragon alongside Kano, who has also been revealed to be a playable character in MK11. So, it does relate back to what Ed Boon was saying about there being time trip aspects in this game. As we’re getting a version of him long before he joined the police force alongside Striker.

Here's a reveal trailer showing off what he can do, it's pretty cool but also quite grim.
(warning: not for the squeamish)

D'VORAH

The second character to be revealed in MK11 is D'Vorah, who is returning from MKX. Not much information is known about her about her yet. But check out this exclusive videos where Ed Boon reveals all.

More information to be revealed at a later date, as April 23rd is drawing near!

Deep Space - Doctor Who Season 18

DEEP SPACE
AN INSIDE GUIDE INTO DOCTOR WHO SEASON 18

If you're a Doctor Who fan or a sci-fi fan or simply a standard nerd, take a look at this inside guide with everything you need to know about Doctor Who: Season 18.

The eighteenth season of Doctor Who began on 30th August 1980 with Part One of The Leisure Hive, and ended with Tom Baker's last story Logopolis on 21st March 1980

At the time, it seemed like quite an exciting change to the average Doctor Who fan watching it.  Doctor Who was being revamped into the 1980s with a new title sequence and theme. Even the Doctor got a makeover with his new burgundy themed outfit.

So what is there to know about Season 18 for the average reader?

  • Season 18 sees the swang song of Tom Baker - The Fourth Doctor, ending his time after seven years on the programme.
  • It introduced new companions to the series. Adric (Played by Matthew Waterhouse) in "Full Circle", Nyssa (Played by Sarah Sutton) in "The Keeper of Traken", Tegan Jovanka (Played by Janet Feilding) in "Logopolis".
  • Romana (Played by Lalla Ward) departs from the series at the end of "Warriors Gate" along with John Leeson who returns to voice the robot dog K9.
The Master returns to the series, played by Geoffry Beavers and after "The Keeper of Taken" by Anthony Ainley who would go on to play the master for the rest of the classic series run.

Jacqueline Hill, who played the First Doctor's companion, Barbara Wright, returns in "Meglos", although this time playing the one-off character Lexa

For Season 18 John Nathan-Turner replaced Graham Williams as producer. Barry Letts who had successfully produced Doctor Who in the 1970s returned as an executive producer, for just this season only.
Christopher H. Bidmead also replaces Douglas Adams as script editor. In a return to the format of early seasons, virtually all serials from Season 18 are linked together, with stories running directly into each other. Three serials – Full CircleState of Decay, and Warriors' Gate – are all part of a trilogy known as "The E Space Trilogy" within the season. These three serials include the arrival of Adric and the departure of Romana and K9.
Over the period of Christmas 1980, the season took a two-week transmission break between the broadcasts of State of Decay and Warriors' Gate

Season 18 Episode Guide
An in-depth synopsis to the stories in Season 18.

The Leisure Hive
30th August - 20th September 1980
In search of a holiday, the Doctor and Romana travel to the famous Leisure Hive on Argolis, a planet ravaged by a nuclear war with the reptilian Foamasi years earlier. The main attraction of the Hive is a device called the Tachyon Recreation Generator, but when things start to go mysteriously wrong with the machine, the Doctor realises that evil is afoot in the Hive. He and Romana begin to unearth a tangled conspiracy which may lead to a new, deadlier war between the Argolins and the Foamasi.

Meglos
27th September - 18th October 1980
The Doctor is summoned back to the planet Tigella, where the population is divided along religious and scientific lines. Something is going terribly wrong with Tigella's main power source, the Dodecahedron, but the Savants are prevented from investigating by the zealous Deons. To make matters worse, before the Doctor can solve the problem with the Dodecahedron, he is accused of its theft. The true culprit is Meglos, a shapeshifting Zolfa-Thuran, who intends to unleash the full might of the Dodecahedron upon the universe.

Full Circle
25th October - 15th November 1980
Romana is recalled to Gallifrey, but en route the TARDIS is drawn through a Charged Vacuum Emboitment into another universe, called E-Space. Landing on the planet Alzarius, the Doctor meets a group of humans who are trying to rebuild their spacecraft which crashlanded generations ago. When Marshmen begin rising from the swamps during the dreaded time of Mistfall, however, the Doctor realises that there is something amiss on Alzarius, and begins to unravel a genetic riddle which stretches back centuries.

State of Decay
22nd November - 13th December 1980
Still trapped in E-Space, the TARDIS materialises on a medieval planet. The townsfolk live in fear of the Three Who Rule, who govern from their mighty castle. Investigating, the Doctor discovers that the Three Who Rule are ancient astronauts who were turned into vampires long ago, and their castle is actually their spaceship. When Romana and Adric are kidnapped, the Doctor must ally himself with a band of renegade peasants to stop the resurrection of one of Gallifrey's greatest enemies: the Great Vampire itself.

Warrior's Gate
3rd - 24th January 1981
Trying to escape from E-Space, the Doctor, Romana, Adric, and K9 instead land in an eerie white void whose only feature is a crumbling old keep. Also trapped in the void is a slave ship captained by the cruel Rorvik, whose time sensitive pilot, the leonine Tharil Biroc, escapes and lures the Doctor into the keep and the mirror gateway beyond. There, the Doctor witnesses the rise and fall of the once-mighty Tharil Empire. He realises that he must free the Tharils enslaved on the ship and escape through the gateway before Rorvik's vengeful actions destroy them all.

The Keeper of Traken

31st January - 21st February 1981

The Union of Traken is governed by a Keeper gifted with the powers of the Source. The current Keeper is nearing the end of his thousand-year tenure, however, and asks the Doctor and Adric – who have escaped from E-Space – to go to Traken and stop an evil he believes is plotting to destroy the Union. But the source of the evil, the Melkur, has already infiltrated the Consuls of Traken, and has the Doctor declared a criminal. Allying himself with Consul Tremas and his daughter, Nyssa, the Time Lord must uncover the true power behind the Melkur – someone who knows the Doctor of old.

Logopolis

28th February - 21st March 1981
After her aunt is murdered by the Master, an airline stewardess named Tegan Jovanka becomes an unwitting stowaway aboard the TARDIS as it travels to the planet Logopolis. There, the Doctor discovers that the Master's interference with the Logopolitans' advanced mathematics has unleashed a wave of entropy which threatens to consume the entire universe. The two Time Lords enter into an uneasy alliance. Their only hope lies on Earth... but then, in the moment of greatest crisis, the Master plays his ultimate trump card.

Tom Baker’s final year saw the programme undergo radical changes in front of the cameras and behind the scenes.
Producer John Nathan-Turner revamped the series with new writers, new directors, a new title sequence and theme arrangement, glossy production standards and – throughout the course of the season – a brand new regular cast. Over seven classic adventures, the Doctor and his companions encountered the Foamasi, Meglos, the Marshmen, vampires, and Tharils, building to a final deadly showdown between the Doctor and his arch-nemesis the Master.
All of this and more can be seen on the new Blu ray box set Doctor Who The Collection Season 18. Packed with every episode of Season 18 remastered for Blu Ray and all new special features including new special features and making of documentary for "Logopolis
