THE CHASE WILL BE BACK! THIS AUTUMN.

THE CHASE WILL BE BACK IN THE AUTUMN OF 2016.

Hello, Everyone.

I thought I would keep you informed on what is happening with my Chase videos.

The series is now on a hiatus for a while.  I haven't got the time to record / edit Chase videos at the moment. I've decided to stop for a while and put this project on pause. So Series 6 of the Chase will resume later this year.

There will be a special 2016 Christmas Special happening in December.

So all of that to look forward to.

Stay tuned for more news.

Thanks Guys.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE - DALEK CIVIL WAR?

DALEK CIVIL WAR

Hey everyone.

It's the start to a new week and I want to leave an option open to suggestion, what would you say to a spin off Doctor Who series just for the Daleks?

I had this idea of doing a spin off Dalek series, which is about the Dalek Civil War, and it will have lots of Daleks fighting each other and go into various morbid and dark scientific backdrops. But it needs a lot of work done to it in order to make it work, so I thought there is no point in doing it if you don't want to see it. So this was just a post to say, what do you think? would you like me to do a spin off Doctor Who series with the Daleks?

As a series what you would get in terms of story is one dalek force (the renegades) who obey the supreme daleks, fighting the imperial daleks who obey Davros, even though Davros will not appear in the series. You would get to see what the daleks get up to without the doctor to stop them, and the destruction of other worlds and other species.

It will need lots of work done to it in order to make it work, but as I say please let me know if this is something you'd like me to do. It's an idea that I have had for a year but never really thought about getting it off the ground. I thought I would leave it open to suggestion.

COMING UP SOON: DOCTOR WHO - What's next for the First Doctor?

What's next for the First Doctor? - The first doctor. Now there's a tricky one. He is a doctor that I find very difficult to do action figure stories for, in that apart from Dalek stories, there isn't really much I can do with him in terms of stories. Because, anything you can do with this incarnation of the doctor has already been done.

It's more difficult to come up with an idea for a first doctor story than say a third or fourth doctor story for instance.

I have a diverse range of stories planned, and I know that I wanted to do more with this doctor.

I wanted to not just do Dalek stories even though there is a Dalek story set to come out later this year with Hartnell, I wanted to be more diverse and broader than that. So that's why I thought I'd do a time meddler type story, a pest or a misfit up to no good and the doctor has to put the rules of time to rights or maybe even perhaps a space story. I know I've done "The Scavengers" but I mean something along the lines a base under siege story, hence why I thought up "The Mysterites" it's Mysterons and Sensorites blended in together. It's quite an interesting dynamic.

I just don't feel I have done enough with this doctor to justify his character. After all Hartnell is one of the most important incarnations of the doctor there has been. He is a role model to the other doctors and they would be nothing without his legacy.

William Hartnell himself was very passionate and protective about the programme and he felt that this was something which was his, and something which he felt he could grasp with both hands and make his own. In a way, the show belongs to William Hartnell. It is as much his as it is any of the other producers and show runners have put their stamp on it. If it weren't for Hartnell, we would have no David Tennants, Matt Smiths or Peter Capaldi's, nor would we have Russell T Davies or Steven Moffatts.

I want to recapture an essence of what made the Hartnell era so original and refreshing television of its time in my stories. So I am told it is apparently what makes my Hartnell stories so professional.

At the moment, I want to do a Dalek story, a Time Meddler type story and a Space Trap type story with creepy aliens in it. As well as showing off the importance to the man who started it all.

COMING SOON From DANBURY Productions : DOCTOR WHO - THE EIGHTH DOCTOR ADVENTURES

COMING SOON THIS AUGUST: NEW ADVENTURES FOR THE EIGHTH DOCTOR
THE DOCTOR IS BACK... AND IT'S ABOUT TIME.

The Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) is here! Three brand new adventures as the doctor travels the universe, and meeting all the strange, strange things that lie within it.

Three new adventures will be coming out with the Eighth Doctor in August 2016. The stories will be an ensemble of ideas and will contain various fun, sci-fi, historical and scientific elements to it. Basically a story will start off being like a certain particular type of story and then as the story goes on it changes and you think, 'oh it's like this now' It's an experimental format and doing what Doctor Who does best really.

Along the way, The Doctor will meet a new companion on his travels which he will take off into time and space and will join him in throughout the series.

There are some familiar Doctor Who aspects in this series, I am trying to visualise the type of Doctor Who I would like to see on television as well as also interpreting a modern cultural context to it as well, which to do with action figures is going to be a challenge. It will all rely on the writing of the scripts and how well the story is executed.

Scripts for the series are being written as we speak, I am writing them now in collaboration with my writing team and we're basically still brainstorming and trying to find out what ideas work and what don't and sometimes blending small ideas together into one big story, so for example, something that was scrapped for a short story might be revised and blended in with another idea to create one big story. It is all a devine exercise in trial and error.

More information to released on this new Eighth Doctor series at a later date.

Thank You.

DOCTOR WHO : THE BEST OF THE SIXTH DOCTOR

Colin Baker's Sixth Doctor, was one of the most charismatic representations of the character to date.
He was bold, colourful, loud, exuberant and from his clothes captured the raw essence of the production during the mid 1980's.

Colin played the doctor from (1984 - 1986)

I thought I'd put together a post of some of his greatest, funniest and most enjoyable moments as The Sixth Doctor.

1. The Fifth Doctor regenerates in The Sixth Doctor - The Caves of Androzani (1984)

Colin's first appearance as the doctor at the end of the 1984 story "The Caves of Androzani"

2. The Doctor escapes an acid bath - Vengeance on Varos (1985)

It's a close shave for Colin's Doctor, as he very nearly was dipped into an acid bath.

3. Time distortion in Killingworth? - Mark of the Rani (1985)

The Doctor and Peri arrive in the small town of Killingworth, where they are met by an unfriendly surprise.

4. The Rani's Plan - Mark of the Rani (1985)

The Rani has captured the Doctor, and lets him in on her evil plan.

5. The Rani's Trap - Mark of the Rani (1985)

Upon investigation, The Doctor and Peri walk straight into a trap that the Rani has set for them.

6. The Two Doctors Meet - The Two Doctors (1985)

Two Doctors, for the price of one.

7. Davros the great healer - Revelation of the Daleks (1985)

The TARDIS has landed on the planet Necros, the location of the funeral home Tranquil Repose. The Great Healer is exposed as being none other than Davros, creator of the Daleks.

8. The Doctor arrives at the court - Trail of a Timelord, The Mysterious Planet (1986)

The Doctor is about to go on trail, in more ways than one.

9. The identity of the Valeyard - Trail of a Timelord, The Ultimate Foe (1986)

The truth about the Valeyard is revealed.

10. The Original Matrix - Trail of a Timelord, The Ultimate Foe (1986)

Trapped in the Matrix, it's the epic showdown of The Doctor vs The Valeyard.

Other adventures with Colin's doctor are available from BIG FINISH Productions.

DOCTOR WHO - ON TARGET

DOCTOR WHO IS BACK ON TARGET

In April 2016, seven books from the Doctor Who target range were released worldwide featuring the original cover art work from the original books. The books consist of one story from each of the classic seven doctors. These stories were : The Web Planet with William Hartnell, The Web of Fear with Patrick Troughton, Invasion of the Dinosaurs with Jon Pertwee, Genesis of the Daleks with Tom Baker, The Visitation with Peter Davison, Vengeance on Varos with Colin Baker and Battlefield with Sylvester McCoy.

I for one am very excited about this news because I wasn't expecting it. When I heard about in this months latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, I was captivated by reading the article on the target books. resurrecting the most beautiful art used for the Doctor Who book covers.

As someone who didn't grow up reading these books, it will be very interesting for me to get a glimpse of what the fans of the classic era had when before videos came out all they ever really had were these books, which are similar representations of the story you see on television but adapted slightly so its not quite the same story.

The books feature the original and new artwork from the visionary artists Chris Achilleos.

COMING SOON

THE DOCTOR WHO BOOK PROJECT

Introducing the Doctor Who Book Project.

In my excitement of hearing about these books, in collaboration with other doctor who fans, I have decided to put together an audio base projects which I like to call the Doctor Who Book Project and I'm very excited about it. The plan is that I buy all seven books and have a guest speaker read them out like an audio tape.

The Cast is as follows
1st Doctor - Doctor Who and the Zarbi : Daniel Bury (Me)
2nd Doctor - Doctor Who and the Web of Fear : James Carpenter
3rd Doctor - Doctor Who and the Dinosaur Invasion : Scott Goodman
4th Doctor - Doctor and the Genesis of the Daleks : Sophie Marie Scanlon
5th Doctor - The Visitation : Melissa Collier
6th Doctor - Vengeance on Varos : Dominic Greenwood Martin
7th Doctor - Battlefield : Jonathan Miles

These audio based readings will start soon on my channel and I hope to release one story once a month starting from this month leading us into November. The stories will be realised in no particular order, a story will just be released when it gets released, but I will be sending out updates about this project on this blog to let you know about what story is coming out each month.

CHANNEL UPDATE : Thursday 5th of May 2016

Hi Guys.

Just a quick update for you, I know it's been quite some time since I have done one of these but I thought now would be a good time to inform you of what is going to be happening on my channel.

The Chase - videos will continue as normal, with regular uploads every week on Fridays.

Doctor Who - two stories are set to be coming out. I have yet to film them but I will try and get them done in time. If not there will just be one story. Uploads for that will be on a Saturday.

Batman - Series 2 starts again on Sunday 8th of May for those of you who were wondering, and will continue, with uploads following three times weekly.

Other exciting projects I have yet to film, I will try and get done during the month and so that they get edited and uploaded for the month is over.

Doctor Who Audios - I had to stop them for a while, Uni work just got in the way and I didn't have time to produce episodes, now that my Uni work is done and out the way I have five months of free time on my hands to do basically whatever I want. So I shall try and do regular uploads and make sure that the series gets completed. There are 5 stories and 6 episodes left to do.

SS Secret Service - keep your eyes peeled for the first episode of my new spy thriller series.

That I think covers everything at the moment. Just be sure to check the blog regularly and subscribe to the channel for more updates upon request.

Thank you.
