Doctor Who Action Figure Adventures - The Phantoms of X Space

A look into the new series of Doctor Who Action figure stories coming soon.

"The Phantoms of X Space" - Starring Tom Baker

"Words from Dan"

The Fourth Doctor returns for another adventure which awaits him out in space. Season 18, It's a season of Doctor Who I think is a bit hard dunby in terms of deliverance.

I'm not a huge fan of Tom Baker's final season. But what it did do was bring Tom Baker's long era to an eventful end and round things off nicely and most importantly, It brought Doctor Who into the 80's.

I watched previous stories from Tom's last season whilst researching for this story. In the script writing process, I rounded up all my rough notes to form the script.

It's a technique which rarely comes to mind, but working on this particular story was like working out a jigsaw puzzle. Finding out what pieces worked out where, and what I could and couldn't do.

In the end I came up with the concept for 'Phantoms of X Space' and started writing. The story stars, The Fourth Doctor, Sani, Milo and K9.
Daniel Bury 9th of August 2014.

"Synopsis"

The story goes that on their mission to explore the Marina Whirlpool at the vast depths of space, the crew of the space vechile make an unusual and starling discovery. A battered old police box.

As the Doctor, Sani, Milo and K9 join them on their journey, the crew soon discover that the TARDIS is not the only unusual thing they find lurking the vast depths of space. Super Intelligant crystalline stars, long lost space mariners and their miraculous occupants are only the start of their troubles. The Astronights of space are coming, and they won't let anyone leave their area of space, alive.

It's sinister in some ways because you can't question what will happen. I just wanted to do a space travel story.

I think NASA and whole space travel thing is a bit under minded in some ways and perhaps we should pay more attention to astronomers, and look a bit deeper into the vast depths of the universe we live in.

And this story I hope will reflect those veiws, obviously it won't be completely factual. But just about enough to arouse peoples interests in Space Travel and how life in space is very different to how it is here on Earth.

Doctor Who Action Figure Adventures - Doom of the Daleks

A look into the new series of Doctor Who Action figure stories coming soon.

"Doom of the Daleks" - Starring Jon Pertwee

"Words from Dan"

When I was approaching the writing for 'Doom of the Daleks'. I believed in a radical approach. I decided to go down similar sorts of roots in the ways of for example 'Day of the Daleks' and 'Death to the Daleks'.

It is very important I think for Doctor Who to inflict the balance of the terrors of the everyday, and have light comedy in there as well. And the Third Doctor era reflected that.

There's nothing quite like a Dalek story really. There's something about The Daleks and their mystery and the rival they have with The Doctor that makes stories with them, all the more interesting.

Daniel Bury 8th of August 2014

"Synopsis"

So The Doctor and Tom Clarke land on this planet, completely oblivious to whats happening in the surroundings. It doesn't take long for them to get stuck in and involved with things.

Moral line of the story is the Daleks are trying to find a cure for a virus they've got, and they need The Doctors help to cure it because Tom and The Doctor get it as well. So there all in same boat. It makes a change to actually bring the Daleks down to The Doctors level for a change so that they can be equals. If only for a short while.

Doctor Who Review - Death to the Daleks

My review of Death to the Daleks. Enjoy!

Doctor Who in the Autumn.

Hey everyone.

Obviously we're all very excited about seeing Peter Capaldi step aboard the TARDIS, on our TV and Cinema screens later this August. But I've been doing a bit of thinking and thought, why not bring Doctor Who back for the Autumn? I originally paused my action figure Doctor Who's only to want to go back to them later in the Summer. Well It's the middle of Summer now, and things have gone on to a some what Summer hiatus.

I'm doing everything in my best efforts to get this Audio Series to work, to the best of it's abilities. Not just do well, but set off. I've been reviewing scripts to planning filming schedules for it. It's a lot of time and therefore have had no time to film/ edit anymore new Doctor Who. It's alos partly due to the fact when I know I have the time, or a spare five minutes of pertential planning I become lazy and just don't do it.

Well now I'm resuming my Doctor Who duties for a little while, just to take the time to go over a few things and actually do some more stories. I think what this means for my Doctor Who is I'll do the odd few three or four stories now and again and then take a break before doing some more. It will low down miraculously to make room for say more live action projects, reviews and podcasts. That type of thing, as well as my channel supplying a home for my Audio Adventures.

Anyway, Doctor Who is back for the Autumn. It's moved from Saturday to Monday. Because Saturday has been taken for my Audio Adventures, because they start round about the same time as this new who. You will get 1 story a month starting September. Maybe 2. If you have any questions about the stories or what they are about. Please don't hesitate to ask me. Thank You.

There are 5 stories I want to do, in between Iron Man Pilot, Audio Adventures and Live Action Projects. Those stories are :

1) Doom of the Daleks with Jon Pertwee
2) Scream of the Shanta with Jon Pertwee
3) The Phantoms of X Space with Tom Baker
4) Time and a Timelord with Colin Baker
5) The Beginning of War with John Hurt

These five stories will be spread over the course of 3 months. That's the only way possible. I can see them working formativly to my schedule. I will reveal more information later on. But for now, keep in touch.

Thanks Guys :)
