I'm Back On The Radio From Tomorrow!

 

Hello everyone! Since becoming a radio presenter for local radio, there’s never been a job I’ve done before that’s been such a perfect fit for me. I truly love doing every single show and have a lot of fun doing it. I’m in my element. 

So when the coronavirus hit the UK back in March we were all told by members of senior management at Radio Verulam at the start of the first lockdown, the studios would close and all presenters who don’t have remote voice tracking equipment or access to myriad to present shows from home would be off the air for the foreseeable. Myself amongst many other fantastic presenters fell into this group of people. So I haven’t presented anything on Radio Verulam for eight months. 

But, during that time I have been doing other things. I’ve been taking on other volunteering responsibilities. Since September I’ve taken a head up on the Digital Team and am now a social media manager at Radio Verulam. 

I’ve done traffic and travel reports, and helped on Drive Time on a Thursday during the first lockdown. So I’ve been busy. 

But now I can say that I’ve been working behind the scenes with two of my seniors training to learn how to voice track from home, I got a mic sent over to me and been learning my craft at something completely new to me; but creative. 🎧 

So a bit of an update for you, I am now going to be back on the air from TOMORROW! 🥳 🎉 Before lockdown I was presenting my Sunday show from 2pm till 4pm. Sadly, The Sunday Showcase is now gone. But it may come back (who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️) So I don’t have my own show anymore, but I do have a show. 

I’m delighted to say that I will joining the Afternoon Verulam team covering Mondays 1pm till 4pm! And I couldn’t be happier with that time slot. No slot is permanent. Things may change when we go back to the studios, however, Mondays 1 - 4pm is where you can find me from now on. 

I’m so SO excited to be back on the airwaves again, my first show will be this coming tomorrow afternoon, Monday, 7th December. I’ll be glad of your company.

The Celeb team otherwise known as "The Jingle Bells" are Eastenders actor Perry Fenwick, British composer Vikki Stone, BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay, comedian Joel Dommett and pop star Louise think they have what it takes to beat the Eggheads and take home a share of the prize money for their chosen charities.

On the Eggheads team - Lisa Thiel, Pat Gibson, Chris Hughes, CJ De Mooi, and Kevin Ashman. 

The festive special will be uploaded on Saturday 12th December 2020. 

With thrilling head to head rounds and a hair raising final round, the contest is on.

Mortal Kombat 11 - Kombat League: The Season of Lawlessness

 

The Season Of Lawlessness Has Begun!

Hello again everyone. 

I'm sure you're all aware that Kombat League Season 16 - The Season of Lawlessness started yesterday. It runs from Tuesday 24th November through till Tuesday 22nd of December, which is just a few days before Christmas so these new skins have come in perfect time. A real Christmas present from the makers of Mortal Kombat. 

This is also the last season before they start repeating previous Kombat League seasons from December 29th. 

This season gives players of Mortal Kombat 11 on Xbox, PlayStation or PC to earn exclusive rewards and gear pieces for characters in the game, as well as that they get the chance to compete for some new skins for: Sindel, Sub Zero, Cassie and Johnny Cage.

As you can see they all look amazing. I love the attention to detail on the metal arms as it just make the skin all that more different and unique. 

It makes a nice addition to the collection of skins we already have, and a first for Sindel. Apart from Shao Khan, she is the first DLC character to have a skin available to compete for in Kombat League. 

I would like to see Kombat League skins for characters like Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, it seems now the chances of that being a possibility are less likely but never say never. 

The fact that we even have a Sindel skin available is very exciting to a lot of fans. 

Before I show you the board for this season, let's take a quick look at the Kombat Kard backgrounds and icons.

And now I suppose you want to know how you can go about getting these skins. 

You have to compete in a series of online ranked matches versus other players to earn kombat points, the more kombat points you earn the higher you'll climb up the ladder. 

But be aware that the higher up the ladder you climb, the harder the game gets so that's just something to bare in mind. 

THE LADDER AND SKIN REWARDS

Sub Zero's skin can be earned by completing a series of challenges on the right hand side of the kombat league menu, there are five challenges in total, but for every challenge you complete you earn other rewards like brutalities or gear pieces. You get the skin once you've ticked off all the challenges. 

Sindel's skin is Apprentice rank and above meaning you only have to play one match and regardless of the result you'll earn the skin at the end of the season. 

Cassie's skin is at Champion rank and above which means if you want her skin you have to finish the season at Champion rank or higher.

Johnny Cage's skin is at Demi God rank and above which means you'll have to work your way up to the top three ranks to stand a chance of earning his skin at the end of the season.

I'm interested in Sindel and Sub Zero, however I will strive to get the Cassie skin as it's within my reach. My goal for this season will be Grand Master, but i'll happy if I reach above Champion. 

Another season where I don't have to go all the way to Demi God which is always a good thing for me, less stressful and makes Kombat League a more laid back and fun experience for me. 

Just one set match win or lose to get the Sindel skin, I and am sure a lot of other players are very happy with this news.

If you're interested to know about how many kombat points you will need to earn certain ranks

Apprentice: 0 - 500 points

Kombatant: 500 -1000 points

Warrior: 1000 - 1500 points

Champion: 1500 - 2000 points

Master: 2000 - 2500 points

Grand Master: 2500 - 3500 points

Demi God: 3500 - 4500 points

God: 4500 - 5500

Elder God: 5500 points and above

Mortal Kombat 11: Thanksgiving Towers 2020

Mortal Kombat 11 Thanksgiving Towers

Yep, it's that time of year again, just before Christmas. America celebrates Thanksgiving so the MK11 Thanksgiving towers are now available again in towers of time. 

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK and so it's not of much importance, but it is pretty fun to play tower challenges with themed modifiers flying towards you as you face your opponent. 

In a series of four boss fights, four kombatants take to the challenge of four individual boss fights fighting a boss to win exclusive rewards.

This year I'll be using characters Kombat League skins for characters I have won skins for, and one character from the new Kombat Pack 2. 

Those are:

Lizard skin Jade, Purple skin Kitana, Kytinn Kabal, and ... I won't reveal which character from Kombat Pack 2 I'll be using. You'll have to watch the video on Thursday to find out who that will be.

This is a themed special, like I did last year so you can probably expect, exploding turkeys, mash and gravy flying as well as other things related to thanksgiving coming at me whilst fighting each of the four bosses. 

I'll be using modifiers as well as for the first three boss fights each character I choose will have a buddy to help them out during the fight.

The Chase Christmas Specials for 2020!

 

The Chase is on for Christmas as two teams of celebrities battle it out to try an out run some of the best trivia experts and win thousands of pounds for Christmas charities.

In two festive specials, Bradley Walsh puts on his suit and black tie to ask the questions. 

On Sunday the 20th of December, the Chasers put on their party outfits as they prepare to face TV Presenter John Leslie, TV host Stacey Dooley, This Morning's Dr Philippa Kaye, and comedian Paul O'Grady.

On Christmas Eve, it's Reverend Richard Coles, TV Presenter Katie Thistleton, Strictly Come Dancing Judge Motsi Mabuse, and Basil Fawlty himself John Cleese who will be taking on the quizzing pros who will sport their latest fancy dress outfits. 

This year's theme is based off C.S Lewis classic - "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe". So look out for the chasers emulating their best Aslan the Lion, Jadis The White Witch, Mr Tumnus, Lucy Pevensie, and Maugrim Captain of the Secret Police. Have a guess who will be what.

To round things off during advent, The Goat Chasers make a return as well as a special Chase Christmas Cracker to come during advent. 

It's all to be festive and look forward to.

Eggheads is Back for Christmas!

 

EGGHEADS IS BACK FOR CHRISTMAS!

In a one-off celebrity special, Jeremy Vine and the Eggheads are back! 

Jeremy Vine hosts a festive special of the popular TV quiz show where 5 famous faces take on the greatest quiz team in Britain. The Eggheads.

*Be aware that this not a live TV Programme and all content produced on my channel is of my own version of Eggheads and all scenarios are purely my own suggestions and based off my own personal imagination.*

Using the Eggheads app the special will be filmed similar to how I record my Chase videos, the festive special will be filmed late November and it will go out during advent, so just before Christmas Day. 

Expect an upload sometime around mid-late December, a full Christmas schedule will be released next week.

The special will feature five festive eggheads from past and present. It will also pay tribute to one of the eggheads who sadly is no longer with us Dave Rainford.

There will be a special Dickensian theme as this year's special will be based off Charles Dickens's classic novel 'A Christmas Carol'. 

Jeremy and the Eggheads will be dolling up their Dickens dress up to take on the celebrities, and play for something money can't buy - their reputation. 

Keep an eye out for the Christmas trailer coming in the next couple of weeks as we prepare for advent in the lead up to Christmas. 

It should put a smile on your face during what has been an unpredictable, unprecedented and uncertain year.

MK11 - Kombat League Re Runs - Starting 29th December

 

Exciting news for Mortal Kombat players.

During Mileena's kombat kast last Friday evening it was announced that from the 29th December, that's a week after Season 16 finishes, MK11 are going to start repeats of Kombat League seasons and start all of them again from the beginning.

This gives people like me who missed out on skins in previous seasons to try out and play for them again. 

The skins are being re-ordered so if you couldn't get to Demi God in the season the first time around, it'll made a little easier so hopefully you can now. 

As well that, even though the seasons are being repeated there's new gear pieces up for grabs as well as new brutalities so hopefully there's something in it for everyone. 

I'm extremely excited by this news and can't wait to play from the beginning as I missed out on the first two seasons by not playing them. I didn't understand what Kombat League was or how it worked back then but now I'm fully ready and prepared to try out for all the skins that I've missed. There's definitely at least one skin I'll be after.

I'll go through all the seasons with the new dates and skins I'll be after below.

This season is still live now, with less than a week left to go so there's still all to play for first time around so you may not have to play this season again if you have already reached Demi God rank or higher.

As I know I'm not going to get to Demi God this season, I will simply say.

Playing for: Kung Lao's skin

Highly likely I will have: Noob Saibot and Jade's skins

I have won the Scorpion skin last Sunday after completing the season challenges.

So that's Kombat League for now, and depending on how well I do in Season 16 will decide on what I do in the re run.

Season 16 would be repeated from the 7th June - 5th July 2022.

So this news has settled my nerves for Season 16 because if Sindel's skin is at Demi God rank I now know I have a second chance to get it should I not get to the required rank.

I know a lot of players are worried or concerned over Sindel's skin being at Demi God. I honestly don't think she will be. If you think about it, there is a 3 in 4 chance she won't be. My gut feeling is saying Apprentice rank, but who knows... I won't know what the board is like until I see it. Which will be in a few weeks time.

Plus something else to get hyped about ONE MORE WEEK TO GO UNTIL KOMBAT PACK 2!!!

So we can try out the new characters during these Kombat League repeats and I am ready for that.

Mortal Kombat 11 - Character Towers Batch 5 Continues THIS SATURDAY

 

After a long while of... well laziness and forgetfulness to keep up with gameplay videos Mortal Kombat 11 Character Towers continue from this Saturday (tomorrow) with Kung Lao.

I had a whole schedule planned to have these videos done by October and start with Story Mode videos after that.

However, we've since had the announcement of Kombat Pack 2, so with three new characters coming into the game it seems best to carry on with Character Towers, at least for now.

So here's the time line of what to expect in the next coming weeks:

• Kung Lao - 7th November
• Fujin - 14th November
• Robocop - 21st November
• Sheeva - 28th November
• Rain - 5th December
• Rambo - 12th December
• Mileena - 19th December
• Christmas Towers - 24th December

So that will see new MK11 videos through until Christmas, and I'll have other gameplay videos to do during advent in the lead up to Christmas. 

Stuff like Crash Bandicoot Team Racing videos as some of the tracks have festive and adventurous feels to them. It offers something different other than just fighting videos all the time. 

That's the latest update, each video should be uploaded mid morning on Saturdays unless there's a delay.

Mortal Kombat 11 - Kombat League: The Season of the Saurian Rebirth!

 

Hey everyone!

This has been very late coming seeing as we're half way through into the season, but if you didn't know it already Kombat League Season 15 - The Season of Saurian Rebirth is under way running from the 20th October through to 17th November.

This season gives players of Mortal Kombat 11 on Xbox, PlayStation or PC to earn exclusive rewards and gear pieces for characters in the game, as well as that they get the chance to compete for some new Reptile skins for: Jade, Kung Lao, Noob Saibot and Scorpion.

These are skins up for grabs this season:

SCORPION: Deadly Hybrid and Stinging Bite skins

NOOB SAIBOT: Death's Head & Lethal Bite Skins

KUNG LAO: Komodo and King Cobra Skins

JADE: Khameleon & Lizard Green Skins

As you can see they all look amazing and I'm there's going to be plenty of people wanting to get their hands on these skins and have them as part of their collection.

Before I show you the board for this season, let's take a quick look at the Kombat kard backgrounds and icons.

I'm only interested in the Jade skin, having said that I was surprised to see Noob Saibot at Apprentice rank considering he was at Demi God last time he featured in a Kombat League set. After seeing Jade in the Apprentice rank three season's in a row she's been in, one would expect to see that recurring pattern, but not this time it would seem.

I am pleased however to see Kung Lao at the top as it means I don't have to go all the way to Demi God this around which is great for me. Demi God is a difficult rank to achieve but doable. I think this season though I'm happy with just getting three skins and glad I can stop at Champion.

I think we're going to see a lot of Scoprions and a lot of Kung Lao players this season with Kung Lao being Demi God and Scorpion being the challenge skin.

I'm averaging Warrior rank at the moment, so I'll need to put in some good hard work to stand a chance of finishing at Champion rank or higher at the end of the season.

As well as that when this season finishes, not only will we have new skins but new characters as on the 17th November when this season ends, Kombat Pack 2 will be released featuring Rambo, Rain and Mileena as well as a brand new skin pack. Exciting times ahead to keep us going until Christmas.

If you're interested to know about how many kombat points you will need to earn certain ranks

Apprentice: 0 - 500 points

Kombatant: 500 -1000 points

Warrior: 1000 - 1500 points

Champion: 1500 - 2000 points

Master: 2000 - 2500 points

Grand Master: 2500 - 3500 points

Demi God: 3500 - 4500 points

God: 4500 - 5500

Elder God: 5500 points and above
