THE PERILS OF THE PURPLE PIMPLE
OUT IN SEPTEMBER
After an encounter with the deadly Xangara Helix, the Doctor and Pip land in 18th century France. In the midst of danger, espionage, and intrigue, a mysterious figure known only as the Purple Pimple masquerades the streets and forests at night, robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. The authorities think of cunning and fiendish plans to try and catch the pimple but have not prevailed.
As a masqued ball approaches to celebrate the accession of the new Countess, the Doctor realises that a third visitor has arrived with him in the TARDIS, it is a force with the power to wipe out human civilisation forever. The Doctor has brought it to Earth - and only the Doctor can stop it.
