Black Manta - Available in September!

Hi there everyone.

I'm sure most gamers are aware that last night, the gameplay trailer was released for Black Manta, the first character to be released from fighter pack two. Most people from their reactions were very flabbergastered by the trailer and lots of jaws dropped with excitement.

A few comments I'd like to make on Black Manta just from having watched the trailer myself, I think he is an interesting character with lots of gadgets and skills that all look really impressive and cool, he's one of those flashy type characters that if used in the right way can be very dangerous to other players playing him online. I'm not overly keen on his design, but that can be rectified to my liking after I unlock different gear for him and customize him. The slogan of the game is "every battle defines you" so yeah, whatever floats your boat basically.

I just wonder if most of the cool things that he does are gear related or are they a combination of combo movement, special moves or gear related moves, who knows? I guess I'll find out in the next week or so when he's released.

His intro is really good, not like all of the other characters, he makes an entrance like a ninja and means business as soon as he comes on screen, like a complete bad ass that he shows off to be. His outro was cool too, lone ranger walking away like a boss.  It was classy, I liked it.

Anyway, watch the trailer and judge for yourself.

Enjoy!

INJUSTICE 2 Fighter Pack 2 - My thoughts

Hi, everyone.

So, today we found out which three characters would be joining, Red Hood, Sub-Zero, and Starfire following the release of fighter pack one back in May of this year with fighter pack two.

I watched the trailer today, and now I know who we're going to be getting. Black Manta, Raiden, and Hellboy! I can now express my first thoughts on this news and what I think about it.

Black Manta - We knew that we were going to be getting him at some point, if not in this pack, definitely in fighter pack three, but we knew that we were going to be getting him because XBox leaked information that you could play as Black Manta in Injustice 2, so with that the cat was already out of the bag before it was even confirmed, plus his silhouette in the character selection menu gives you a big clue as to who it might be. I think it'll be nice to get another DC character in the game and have a rival for Aquaman.

Raiden - Lots of people are not happy that we're getting Raiden. I am! I love Raiden. I play him a lot playing Mortal Kombat X, he is an insane character who does copious amounts of damage and super cool lightning moves, one can only expect exceptional things from this character. I know that some people really didn't want another MKX character in this, and to them, I say 'fair enough' I understand your reasons, but it's not like a lesser character like Quan Chi from the MKX franchise was chosen, Raiden is very good and an integral part of the MKX world. And yes, Sub-Zero was really good but I think with Raiden and the moves which I hope Netherrealm are going to pass on from MKX will be great for me, playing him in Injustice 2. I'd love to do his power discharge move as that is a great move to do against zoners. I'm not overly keen on his costume, I don't like his mask that he is wearing, and I'm not sure why they didn't go with his dark variation as that's what I was looking forward to seeing, but the design and over physic of him looks very interesting. I'm very excited to see what epic gear we can get for him. And It'll be cool to do Raiden vs Black Adam too.

Hellboy - This is the one that most people are very happy with and excited about. For me, I don't know who he is. I know of his popularity and I do know that he is a very famous character that lots of people know about. I'm sure the actor who plays Hellboy, Ron Perlman, will be very humbled that Netherrealm has chosen Hellboy as a DLC character to guest star in their Injustice franchise. I did like his introduction in the trailer, he means business and that big hand is significant, I guess I'll find everything out once he becomes available to play in the game.

So out of those three, the character I am most looking forward to is Raiden, but I hope that Black Manta and Hellboy surprise me.

I'm overly happy with these three characters, no complaints from me, I think there's an interesting choice of diversity mixed within different worlds and different franchises coming together for gamers to enjoy. So there's just more of everything for everybody which is great.

These three will start becoming available in the Autumn of 2017. Game play for Black Manta official date I think is the 27th August 2018 and he'll be available as a playable character in September. So we won't have long to wait, and it's going to be fun to watch and see how they interact with all the other characters, what their gear's going to be like, their fighting skill and technique, colour schemes, all of those things and more. It's all part of the design to keep people interested in the game and keep playing it.

I look forward to more updates.

In the mean time everyone, stay tuned for me Injustice 2 posts!

TOMORROW on INJUSTICE 2: DEEP FREEZE Captain Cold Multiverse

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to let you all know that there is a Captain Cold event now available in the Multiverse until Saturday. It's called "Deep Freeze" and it's your opportunity as a player to focus on a series of challenges with Captain Cold and boost up his level progress and get some really cool gear for him as well. You can even play as Mr Freeze if you have him. If you're not so keen on Captain Cold but like Mr Freeze, you can do it with him and still earn the gear for Captain Cold, it's no problem.

I always like to work with a character and improve my skills with them. It's more fun if it's with a character that I like, like Captain Cold.

And I don't think Captain Cold is a bad character, I just feel that no one picks him because I don't know maybe people think he's a boring character, like Cyborg or Black Canary.

Anyway, expect Captain Cold videos tomorrow or Saturday morning. It's going to Coool! See what I did there? that's funny.

Q&A Session... what's to come?

Hi everyone and welcome to a short question and answer session where I answer some of your questions that have been coming in on my YouTube messenger. Frequently asked questions about my most recent up and coming projects, and I thought I might address a few of them and try and answer the questions as best as I can.

Okay, so here we go.

Question 1) When are we going to see more Chase? - Series 7 of The Chase starts at the end of August. I'm doing eight shows and maybe a Christmas special as well, but that is unconfirmed at the moment.

Question 2) Are you going to be adding Jenny Ryan "The Vixen" to your chasers line up? - No. I will not be adding the vixen. If she's not on the app, I can't include her. Which is a shame because I really want to.

Question 3) What is happening with your Doctor Who Action Figure Adventures this year? - They are still coming. They're more likely to start in September now which I apologise for. I said before they were going to start last weekend, but that didn't end up happening. I think I've got five stories planned for this year. Four classic series and one new series. Just trying to take it easy as I go along.

Question 4) Are we ever going to get to listen to your third series of Doctor Who audio dramas? Eventually yes. I know I am behind, but I have experienced a problem which I am still trying to resolve which concerns recording the stories. They are ready to go, but I haven't even recorded episode one because I experienced something that I thought was a small problem early on back in February, and it's still an on going problem now. I'm hoping for the stories to get going in September/ October time and then the series will end just before Christmas before the Christmas special goes out and then I start again with a brand new mini series of adventures and then the fourth series will follow in later 2018.

Question 5) Do you plan to do more Batman? - Yes, I have planned to do more Batman at some point, especially from playing Injustice 2, new ideas are starting to form and I actually have an idea forming for a really cool Injustice League series which will be quite cool if that ever happens, which I hope it does.

Question 6) Will you continue to do Gameplay videos? - At the moment, yes. You can expect to see more Mortal Kombat, Injustice 2 and Crash Bandicoot videos in September.

Question 7) Is the DANBURY Show coming back anytime soon? - Maybe. I'd really need new filming and sound equipment for that and at the moment, these things cost money that I just don't have. It's also getting dates where I definitely know the house will be free to film it and it's getting the guests on, so it's a lot to take into account and consider.

Question 8) Do you have any other projects up your sleeve in the next few months? - I do have one perticular project which I'd like to do again. I have found two great people to do it, it's just a question of whether they'd be willing to talk and give an interview, but I've got two video/radio projects which I'd love to bring back.

That concludes this Q&A session. I hope the answers that I gave were useful and have managed your expectations of my work a little better.

I hope you keep watching and enjoying my videos.

Doctor Who Review: World Enough and Time

DOCTOR WHO REVIEW: SERIES 10 EPISODE 11 - WORLD ENOUGH AND TIME

The finale begins. Episode eleven or in some cases episode twelve is always the episode which sets everything up for the epic conclusion which is yet to come at the end of every series. In regards to Series ten, we already have had lots of exciting and fresh new adventures happen and we've got to know the doctor and bill as the series has tested their friendship.

Now they face the ultimate test where the Doctor wants to try and make Missy one of the good guys. He knows deep down at the bottom of his hearts that there is the potential for there to be some good in her, and deep down he thinks she knows that too. So in order to examine this fully, the Doctor decides to put Missy in the drivers seat and try her out in how she might play in the Doctor's role.

The situation being he picks a random scenario, with its own dangers and problems to solve and see how she does while he watches from the TARDIS console room. But this is Doctor Who and Steven Moffat so it's highly unlikely to end up being a smooth job like a regular episode would be. I think it's just a matter of bad luck that of all the places to pick, the Doctor picks a spaceship on the brink of disaster as it heads towards a black hole. What's extraordinary about this ship is, it's a ship of infinite space built up of several floors, it's almost like there is an alternate universe happening in your back garden on every floor.

What's interesting about the beginning for is that it starts off as being like a regular episode that we'd expect to find and then it's turned on its side after Bill is brutally shot down and killed and we actually see the damage done, we see a hole in her chest and it's actually heart breaking to see her fall to floor in slow motion, it states a shock factor of 'Oh my god! Bill's dead and we're not even half way through the episode' She's taken away to a different flaw and the Doctor sends her a message to her physic memory simply saying "wait for me" while he, Missy and Nardole find a way of getting to her.

What they don't know is that time moves faster or slower in each part of the ship, and we have no idea what's going to happen next. There is constant turn of surprises which are waiting around the corner which we as viewers have the pleasure of sitting back and enjoying.

Throughout this whole ordeal, we follow Bill's journey through her life on the ship, and she's taken to the operating theatre and had an operation done on her, what shocked me when I first watched it was the fact she had her chest was square, she had a box shaped rectangle attached to her chest which looked as if the operation was only half done, sort of to drop you a clue into what was going to happen at the end, and as she stays up there waiting for the Doctor to come and rescue her, she sees other patients on the ward who have clothes masks over their faces and lots of tubes sticking out of them, a chilling moment was the "Pain" scene where a line full of patients are crying out and had had the volume of their speakers turned to mute so that the nurses can't hear them. It's almost as if these poor people are being ignored and shoved to one side like outcasts.

Bill also has a creepy guy following her around who looks sort of like a rat from his facial features and speaks with an Albanian sort of accent and he is very mysterious. It's through him that we are guided through the ship, he is with Bill throughout most of her time where she is, and we get the sense to believe that he is helping her, but has a hidden agenda.

In the meantime, the Doctor is desperately trying to get to Bill in order to save her, with the aid of Missy and Nardole.

Bill in the end, meets a terrible and chilling fate right when the Doctor and Nardole finally get to her.

What happens in this story and at the end of this episode I think was spoilt by the publicity made months in advance before series ten was released. About that 1) Mondasian Cybermen were coming back and 2) the return of the Master played by John Simm. It is a shame that things leak or there is inside information on the production, it just spoils any form of massive surprise for people watching it. The fans mostly. If this had been quietened down and no one knew what was going to happen, and we were dropped clues as to what was going to happen throughout the episode and then to get the big reveal, that would have been jaw dropping.

I've come into an age now, where nothing or very little surprises me nowadays. I have nothing to get excited about in comparison to when I was a child. In the case of Doctor Who it's mainly due to situations like this where something is leaked online or I find out on my social media what's happening to decrease my expectations of anticipation towards seeing it live as I'm watching the episode.  If I hadn't of known all that I did know, I think this would have turned out to be one of the best well-kept surprises in Doctor Who's history since before 2008. To have the Albanian guy reveal himself to be The Master in disguise or to find out that Tenth Planet style Cybermen would be in it, both would have been a tremendously pleasant shock, but also speaking as someone who doesn't work on Doctor Who, I understand and know about the pressures in which Moffat and his production team face, it could have been a circumstance where they had no choice but to make a formal announcement about it, due to something which had happened down the line that forced them. It well have been a number of things, and I don't know for sure why. I'm merely pointing out that if those circumstances hadn't have happened, it would have been an amazing reveal and in some cases may have helped the viewing of the story better.

As a result of this, it causes the episode to lack a sense of suspense for me because I know what's going to happen, I would expect to see it.

The story ends on a great cliffhanger though, I did enjoy seeing the Doctor's face when the master walked out and stood by Missy and gave the whole "Genesis of the Cybermen" speech. I thought the ending was very effective. Even to get a close up on Bill within the suit and sheading a tear, I thought was effective. It did add to the emphasis of the drama and put episode twelve in good setting to pick up from.

So there are lots of good and effective things in this episode, just let down by faults in the production and early publicity. 8/10.

Next week: The Doctor Falls.
