COMING LATER... BATMAN : The Future of The Dark Knight!

Hey Everyone

Earlier this year I announced specific times and dates as to when the second series of Batman would be released, if you haven't seen the first series its 's on my YouTube Channel now. The series itself has done really well in terms of the way it was recieved, I'm really pleased with the response it has got, and that people enjoy it. It's a lot of fun to make, and offers me a new diversity of doing things, in terms of story writing, filming, etc in comparison to doing something like a Doctor Who for example.

The first series, was in every sense a trial and error thing just to see how the series would be received and to see if Batman had a future. Obviously my subscribers are used to all the Doctor Who's I've done over the past six years, but now I have flourished and there are loads of new projects coming in and ready to blossom.

Now that Series 2 of Batman is entering post production, It's time to start preparations for series 3, now the third series of Batman could come back quite quickly, It might not. We shall have to see how I do in actually filming and editing it to insure it's up on YouTube as early as possible. The second series will be different to the first series, there will be more stories, more villains and more action, but that's good because I think what people crave is a desire to see more of what they enjoy.

Characters

I don't think there is any harm in telling you some of my ideas for Series 3 as a sneak peak into what I have planned for the series. There will be more characters involved, and more enemies for Batman to face.

The Joker - The Joker is back after his indiscretion with Batman in Series 1, I want to explore more this characters origins. Stuff like the red hood for instance, something that will engage the audience with The Joker in my Batman series, like Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger did in The Dark Knight.

Obviously The Joker's character is he's a realist, an anarchist and genuinely mad. He just wants to watch the world burn and I'd like to bring this out with more time to explore it.

So story premise will carry off where events in Series 1 left off, when you have Bruce Wayne taking a casual interest in The Joker, when he has robbed a bank and been caught and sent to jail. It is in Arkham Asylum that Joker hatches a master plan of... Spoiler I can't say any more.

But your engaged right? that's exactly what I plan to do, engage my audience my creating a suspence of dramatic emphasis that the audience want to feel comfortable in engaging in. I think the orgins behind Batman and The Joker and The Joker's back story would be a fine experiment in trailing this out. It's risky, but at the same time a risk I'm prepared to take.

The Penguin  - Oswald Cobblpot gets his chance to shine, I really like the character of the Penguin. Mocked as a child for his short stature and beak like nose, Oswald embraced the nickname of 'Penguin' when he made his mark in Gotham's criminal underworld. Known to the public as the owner of the Iceberg Lounge nightclub, the Penguin secretly has a hand in gambling, gunrunning, stolen goods, and other illcit industries.

As well as all that he is a member of the Injustice League. The Penguin is obsessed with birds and is rarely seen without an umbrella. Unlike many of Batman adversaries, The Penguin is sane and has the impeccable manours of a gentlemen. He is a useful source of information, providing Batman with tips that enable him to foil plots of the Penguin's rivals.

Mr Freeze

Mr Freeze is a very chilled character, that's not a clever pun incase you were wondering, he is just a very cold hearted, bitter, scientific, chilled and twisted character. Mr Freeze is an interesting character. From what rescources tell me from research and belive me I did a lot of research on Mr Freeze.

From what research tells me is he started off as Dr Victor Fries, and the back story goes that he could have been a world class scientist if his wife Nora hadn't contracted a terminal disease. Victor attempted to freeze her in a cryogenic chambar, until a cure could be found, but an accident left her trapped between life and death.

It also changed Victor's body chemistry so that he could no longer survive outside a sub-zero enviroment. Now, as the emotionless Mr Freeze, he wears a life sustaining cyro-suit and stalks the city, stealing diamonds for his personal collection and money to fund is cryogenic research. Armed with his deadly freeze gun, he is a ruthless killer, turning his luckless victims into blocks of Ice. It may interest you to know, that according to some of my research it was Bruce Wayne that wanted to put a stop to Victor Fries's cryogenic research. This in turn gave me an idea of how Mr Freeze could potientally bankcrupt Bruce Wayne, but that's just one of many little ideas floating around in my mind, to play with. It's only one part of one overall storyline. I hope once it's constructed viewers won't be disapointed with the result.

Hush

I have a great story in mind for Hush, which I think your all going to enjoy for what it is. It addresses the criminal justice systom and our trust in the authorities to help.

Sadly more than oftan the system fails us, and we have to defend for our selves and Hush is the character I am using in order to bring this message across. The bandages covering his face hide the fact that Hush is Tommy Elliot, Bruce Wayne's best friend since childhood. As a boy, Tommy attempted to murder his wealthy parents by cutting the brakes lines in their car. His father perished in the crash, but Thomas Wayne intervened to save Tommy's Mother.

Furious with the Wayne family for ruining his plans to inherit the Elliot family fortune, Tommy swore revenge. He grew up to become a gifted neurologist and plastic surgeon, but his desire for vengeance remained. As the devious criminal Hush, he is a master stratagist and manipulator, consumed by desire to kill the Batman and ruin the life of his childhood friend Bruce Wayne.

Ra's Al Ghul & The League of Assassins

Ra's Al Ghul is the leader of the league of Assassins. Also known by another name of the Demons Head, His avowed motive is to restore the earth's ecological balance by killing most of the planet's inhabitants.

His favoured method of assult on the world's population is the use of a bilogical weapon, such as a genetically enegineered, hyperphetical virus. He has lived for centuries as a result of periodic immersions in the Lazarus Pits, pools of rejuvenating chemicals that restore the dying life.

Ra's al Ghul is an expert swordsman and accomplished martial artist. He is also the father of Talia Al Ghul, and the grandfather of the the fifth Robin, Damian Wayne (Talia Al Ghul's son)

I'd like to experiment with Ra's Al Ghul mentalist powers, and coinside them with his main ambitions to fullfill the task The League of Assassins were trained to do. What's orginal about Ra's Al Ghul is that his main weapon is not punching or kicking or slashing, his violence is not physical. Ra's Al Ghul's version of violence it to vurbaly attack diplomaic icons and diplomatic civilisations and he attacks them through a mental process of language and manipulation.

He uses the kind of rythems of speech that I have seen many other dictators use many years ago, it's nothing new. Reptative speech, Rythomic speech and use of a kind of rightousness power in his voice that gives him a very disconcerting belive in the utter political garbage that he talks; but he relays it with such urnisnuss and gravity, that it's really disconcerting.

I think what makes Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins such a powerful threat is the fact of the flexibilty and uncertainty behind their origins of who they are and what they are. The invisibilty of them is quite creepy, they are untouchable. Ra's A; Ghul himself is immensly threatning, 'You know who is, You don't know where he is, and Batman never see's him coming'. And it is that kind of constant movement, which is very disturbing I think in human nature, we need to fix the enemy, to see it and to destroy it. If you don't know where it is, If you never see it coming, then those vicious attacks are very disconcerting especially if your given a verbal warning, you've got the message. It's on it's way. That is very threatning.

Bane Bane grew up inside the walls of a prison on the island nation of Santa Prisca. Serving time for his own father's acts of rebellion against the island's corrupt government, Bane was brutalised by his experience. His aggression made him a perfect test subject for the experiment Venom steroid.

With tubes pumping venom directly into his bloodstream, he gained vastly increased physical strength and broke out of prison. Fascinated by Batman, Bane set his sights on challenging himself to defeat him. Having been traumatised by Bats as a child, Bane considered the destruction of Batman his way of getting revenge.

Bane is one of Batman's most intimidating foes, and was once associated with the Secret Six.

What I love about Bane is his patience and the way he calculates his plans in his head, he really thinks through and plans strategically a great deal. Which makes him a worthy adversary for Batman. This was portrayed in The Dark Knight Rises and as much as I love The Dark Knight Rises. I don't see Bane as the dictator or liberator The Dark Knight Rises portrayed him to be.

However, Bane is an excellent character and I will certainly be portraying him in my own individual way. I will achieve this by researching into the character a bit more, so that I can include more into his background when it comes to writing the script. I have one or two little ideas in my head, but that will expand once I have the plot of the story which includes Bane.

Two FaceIn series one I made various nice little mentions and  nods to Harvey Dent and how he was in the running to become Gotham Mayor. Well, now in the second series, Harvey gets his chance to shine as he tries to make Gotham a better place, by gaining the people's trust so that they will vote for him in the elections.

The story goes that Harvey Dent is made out to be the idealistic Mayor for Gotham city, abolishing scum off the street, cleaning up the city, concentrating on the city's political concerns. He does all these things really well, then a mob informant throws a vail of acid against one side of his face. The trauma causes him to become Two Face, who views the world through the polar opposites of order and chaos.

He does this by deciding what to do by flipping a coin, whatever side the coin lands on will decide the fate of his victims. It is literally a 50/50 streak. Anyway I'm eagerly keen to flourish the Harvey Dent character into the series properly and also introduce him as Two Face. As that's what's so playful, comparing the two contrasts of Harvey Dent and Two Face. Two Face and Harvey Dent. 50/50.

Cat Woman - Catwoman appeared in Series 1 in 'The Cat & The Bat' in that story she stole a painting from the Gotham museum, the painting was incripted with data codes that were useful to her. She intended to use the codes to start a new life somewhere else, with a criminal with a record such as hers, Catwoman knew she needed to get out.

She stole the painting, and wouldn't return it to the Gotham Museum. The last time we saw her she abandond Batman clueless. Since then Batman has been doing some research on Catwoman, and has notified Gordan to report her to him should she ever turn up in Gotham again. The good thing about Catwoman is she's not that sinical about everything she can still trust enough to let her guard down a bit, which she does and that results in her getting into trouble.

She returns for Series 2 and will return for Series 3. There's much more to her and Batman's relationship that was portrayed in 'The Cat & Bat' because then Batman was still confused by Catwoman, now he's got some more background on her he feels he understands her better, but there is still a sparkle of anxziaty to want to find out more about her as he goes a long.

So you got a master criminal like Catwoman, on the streets of Gotham and Batman who is fasinated by her and her orgins. Batman's relationship with Selina Kyle has always been complicated. As the costumed Catwoman, Selina has an eye for expensive treasures. especially if they have a cat theme, and she has no qualms about stealing them. Stealthy and agile, Catwoman is also a skilled martial artist. Batman can't condone her criminal side but he is still drawn to her flirrarious playfulness.

Killing is against Catwoman's moral code, and her main targets for thievery at the moment are mobsters and gangsters. Armed with a whip and ten face scratching claws, Catwoman often helps the Dynamic Duo but she can never truly be trusted.

It would be refreshing to pick up from where I left off with her character and explore the differnet avenues that eventually lead into the realtionship between her and Batman going deeper. It also means allowing more story to come through in the episodes which is a great bonus.

Dead Shot and Azrael

Dead Shot - Known as Floyd Lawton, however better known as Deadshot, was a gun for hire, and known to be the second most lethal assassin in all of the DC Comics.

Deadshot is a hired assassin, regularly boasting to "never miss." He is capable of using a large variety of weapons, but prefers using a pair of silenced, wrist-mounted guns. He initially appeared in Gotham City as a new crimefighter, but was revealed to be an enemy of Batman when he attempted to replace the Dark Knight. When this plan failed, he attempted to become king of Gotham's Underworld.Batman and Commissioner Gordon publicly exposed his plot, and he was sent to jail.

Azreal - Azrael is the name given to the champions of at least two splinter groups of the Sacred Order of St. Dumas. The mantle of Azrael was passed down hereditary lines in the Order of St. Dumas for hundreds of years until the their final Azrael, Jean-Paul Valley destroyed that faction of the order. This Orders' Azraels wore suits of armor that resembled St. Dumas's, and brandished flaming swords. The Order of Purity, another splinter group, also called their champions Azrael. These Azraels wore mystical armor called the Suit of Sorrows, and wielded the Sword of Sin and the Sword of Salvation. These armaments were passed from one generation to another since the crusades.Sir Geoffrey de Cantonna was the first knight to don the Suit of Sorrows for the Order. He, and all his successors since then were driven insane by it .Michael Washington Lane, the current Azrael of the Order of Purity, is an ex-cop who gained enhanced strength and reflexes after being experimented on by evil scientist Doctor Hurt. Originally, he was intended to be part of a program for Police Officers in Gotham City to create replacement heroes for Batman should anything ever happen to him. This treatment drove him insane, and he now bears the Suit of Sorrows and acts as an agent of the Sacred Order.

All of this and more await, so stay posted.
