DOCTOR WHO : An Introduction to The Mystery of the Green Lighters

DOCTOR WHO - THE AUDIO ADVENTURES
SERIES 2 EPISODE 7 : THE MYSTERY OF THE GREEN LIGHTERS
Written By Daniel Bury & Jamie Harrison

SYNOPSIS: In the depths of the victorian gaslight streets of London, evil is a foot. Children are vanishing off the streets one by one and police are powerless to do anything... This sounds like another case for the dynamic duo Litefoot and Jago. Pending on investigation the duo find clues into solving the case, but where is the doctor when you need him?

NOTES: After a successful first endeavour I've brought Jago and Litefoot back again. The reason why I wanted to bring them back first and foremost is because I love their characters and they work so well together as a pair. Also they are tremendously popular throughout the fandom of the programme. Big Finish have given them their own spin off series, which I recommend you track down and listen to as its brilliant.

So I wanted to open the story as if you're going into another Litefoot and Jago story. We got a dark, spine chilling mystery - children going missing, body of a dead man in the river, green gas lamps and... well I don't want to give too much away. Point of the story was to do a doctor light story, where the doctor's involvement in the story is very small and make it more about the other characters to support the plot of the story. In any case Jago and Litefoot are very much like Holmes and Watson. They are a dynamic duo and it was great to bring them back again and do the impersonations again.

The story also sees the return of an old enemy from Series 1 of the audio adventures... I can't reveal who or what it is but there is a big clue as to who or what it is in the title of the story "The Mystery of the Green Lighters" I just want to leave that open for you.
