ZYGONS ARE BACK!
The one of two popular creations by Robert Banks Stewart from the Tom Baker era are back to make a triumphant return in the Audio Adventures Series 1.
The Zygons are back! in a new story which sees The Doctor and Kara tied up in a chain of events which ultimately lead into them becoming suspects in a murder mystery when someone is killed horrifically.
I am fully invested in the prospect of doing a Zygon story of my own. Not only because I am a massive fan of 'Terror of the Zygons' or the monsters but just the thrill of bringing the Zygons back.
I think the overall success of the Zygons popularity, the main reason why the Zygons are so popular is that 'Terror of the Zygons' is a great story. Very well written and dynamically dramatic in the way it is made.
The overall look of the Zygons is amazing as well. I love the voice, the love the effect to it. I know it sounds very similar to an Ice Warrior however John Woodnutt's voice as Broton was very distinctive and specific in 'Terror of the Zygons' you can actually identify yourselves with these creatures as an alien race.
Another contributing factor about the Zygons is the fact that they have the ability to change their appearance they are shape shifters. For an alien to copy your body print and be able to take on the same form as you so that people will believe that alien is you when it's not. That is very disconcerting and disturbing and marvellous all at the same time. So It was a no brainer. I had to bring The Zygons back.
The Zygons will return in the Doctor Who Audio Adventures - Series 1.
